What It Is Really Like to Be Part of the Sparkle Squad

Cleaning gets treated as a throwaway job. Low pay, no respect, a different roster every week and a boss who only notices when something goes wrong. We started OSCC partly to prove that does not have to be true, and our team is the proof.

We are not going to pretend cleaning is glamorous. It is real work and it takes pride and effort. What we will say is that it can be a respected job with good pay, consistent hours and a team you genuinely want to be part of. That is the difference we set out to build, and it is what life in the Sparkle Squad actually looks like.

A Team People Do Not Want to Leave

The cleaning industry runs on high turnover. People come and go because they are treated as interchangeable. We built the opposite.

Our team stays because they are valued, supported and respected for the work they do. There is no drama, no chaos and no being treated like a number. Just a capable group of people who take pride in their work and back each other up. When the culture is right, people do not go looking for the exit, and that is the team we are building.

Paid Right, Because the Work Deserves It

We pay above award, and we are not shy about saying it. Good work deserves good pay, full stop.

We would rather pay our people the right way and keep a strong, reliable team than chase the cheapest labour and accept the revolving door that comes with it. When you value people through their pay, their reliability and their pride in the work follow. That is not charity. It is just how a good business should run.

Real Hours That Fit Real Life

One of the things our team values most is consistency. Not random shifts scattered across the week, but steady, reliable work you can actually plan your life around.

Where we can, we build schedules that work with real life, including school-hours and family-friendly options. We understand that the people doing great work have lives, families and commitments, and a job that respects that is a job people stay in. Consistent hours and good clients make for work that fits around your life rather than swallowing it.

Attitude Over Experience

Here is something we believe strongly. We can teach someone how to clean to our standard. We cannot teach someone to care, to show up, or to take pride in their work.

That is why we hire for attitude first. If you are reliable, you take pride in doing things the right way, you communicate well and you treat people and their homes with respect, we can teach you the rest. Cleaning experience is a bonus, not a barrier. The right character is what we are really looking for.

Built by Founders Who Give a Damn

OSCC is not a faceless franchise. It was built by Gemma and Deon, and the culture comes straight from them. Gemma leads the heart of the business, the people and the standards. Deon drives the systems and the growth. Between them they built a company they would be proud to work in themselves.

That means leadership that actually shows up, clear expectations, and real pathways as the business grows. We are growing fast across the Gold Coast, and the people who join now and do great work are the ones who will grow with us.

Questions We Hear Every Week

Do I need cleaning experience to apply?

No. We hire for attitude first and train the rest. Reliability, pride in your work and respect for people and their homes matter more to us than experience.

What do cleaning jobs with OSCC pay?

We pay above award rates, because we believe good work deserves good pay and we would rather keep a strong, reliable team.

Are the hours casual or consistent?

We build consistent, reliable schedules where we can, including school-hours and family-friendly options, rather than scattered random shifts.

Do I need my own transport?
