Our Story
The Old School Cleaning Co was built on a simple belief: good old-fashioned hard work still matters. That belief sits at the core of everything we do.
The reason it exists is simple: we’d had enough of bad cleaning services ourselves. No-shows, rushed jobs, missed details, people paying good money for work that just wasn’t good enough. We knew the standard people deserved, because we wanted it too. So we built it.
The story starts in Brisbane in 2019, where Gemma ran OSCC as a one-woman operation. Then life happened. Love, a move to the Gold Coast, and a big blended family. The business went on hold, but the belief behind it never did.
In mid-2025, Gemma and Deon brought it back for good. Not a side hustle. A real business, a real brand, real systems, and a standard we actually stand behind.
Since relaunching, OSCC has grown largely through word of mouth into a structured business with strong values, clear standards and a long-term vision, with plans to expand across South East Queensland over time.

Meet the Founders
The Old School Cleaning Co is proudly family-owned and operated by Gemma and Deon. This business wasn't built in a boardroom. It was built from the ground up, with long days, high standards and a clear vision: create a cleaning company that actually delivers what it promises.
Gemma Post. Founder & People Lead
Gemma founded OSCC and leads the heart of the business. With a strong background in customer service and an eye for detail that borders on obsessive (in the best way), she focuses on building a capable, respected and well-supported team. Her belief is simple: when you value your people properly, the quality of their work speaks for itself.
Deon Wade. Co-Founder & Operations Lead
Before OSCC, Deon spent more than thirty years in aviation, close to two decades of them as an airline captain flying across six continents. Aviation at that level teaches you one thing above everything else: standards don't maintain themselves. Systems do.
That discipline is now the operational backbone of OSCC. Deon builds the systems, logistics and long-term strategy that let the business grow without the standard slipping. He turns high standards into repeatable processes, so every client gets the same result whether a founder is on-site or not.

Aviation at that level teaches you one thing above everything else: discipline and consistent execution of high standards. That's what I brought to OSCC.
